Producing Quality Shibas with Integrity

Strength, Intelligence, Loyalty

One Red Male Puppy available to the perfect home!
If someone asked me to describe a Shiba Inu in three words, those are the ones I would use. Shiba Inus are a unique breed, with oustanding qualities. Once you see one, you will be hooked! The shiba inu breed originated in Japan. A small, agile dog that copes very well with mountainous terrain, the Shiba Inu was originally bred for hunting. It is one of the few ancient dog breeds still in existence in the world today. Shiba Inu is sometimes translated as "Small Dog". They are a very fastidious breed and keep themselves very clean. They spend plenty of time cleaning their double coat, with the outer coat being stiff and straight and the undercoat soft and thick. Because they are so clean, shiba puppies are generally easy to housebreak. They are low barkers, but will let out a warning bark to strange things in their area. Shibas have a characteristic "shiba scream" that usually comes out with excitement of their parent returning home.

From the Japanese breed standard:
A spirited boldness, a good nature, and an unaffected forthrightness, which together yield dignity and natural beauty. The Shiba has an independent nature and can be reserved toward strangers but is loyal and affectionate to those who earn his respect.

At least once in your life you should let yourself be owned by a Shiba Inu. The pitter patter of little paws, the head leaned against me, the  "words" of delight and excitement they chant as I return home, these little dogs light up the room with love.

Shiba Inus are not for everyone. They have their quirks like any other breed. Please do your research to make sure this is the right breed for you.
